| Qualification | The candidates must have served as a Petty Officer in Navy, Seaman Branch only (Navigation, Communication, Gunnery, Anti-Submarine Warfare, Clearance Driver and Survey Recorders) Or Artificer III/IV, Mechanic III/IV, Mechanic (Power/Radio), Petty Officer Electrical (Power/Radio) in Navy Technical Branch (Non-aviation sailor only) Or As a Pradhan Navik in Coast Guard, GD Branch only Or Minimum 3 years as an Assistant Sub-Inspector in Border Security Force (Water Wing)/Indo-Tibetan Border Police (Water Wing). |
| Age | Not exceeding 45 years of age as on 01.01.2020. The upper age limit may be relaxed by 05 (five) years in the case of Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes candidates and by 03 (three) years in case of Other Backward Classes candidates (both A and B) |
